I dont know what the last part of that question was supposed to be... But i think that bilingualism should continue on in the U.S because it offers up more opportunities for people that don't speak English to travel here. Plus we don't need more integration then we are already getting.

I agree with Trin. English doesn't have to be the national language. We live in the United states and should be able to speak freely, in whatever language we want. If we forced others to learn English, there cultures would suffer. Also, if the national language was changed now, I feel like it would have as much of an effect of people as some would hope. Everyone isn't going to learn English.

It is good English isn't the national language; because we have so much diversity in minorities. So having English as our national language just wouldn't work. People say Mexicans need to learn our language, but if we really we would learn Spanish. I would have to agree with Anna; because if we try to force people to learn English it would effect their culture. It may make them forget about their culture and acquire our culture.

The United States is known as a country that does NOT have a primary language and i think it should stay that way. like anna says, if we forced others to learn our language, their culture would suffer.bilinguism is a great way to travel and meet new people and still know what they are saying. i would highly encourage bilinguism to continue.

in my opinion, the US should establish English as the primary language because it is widely spoken in the country and worldwide. many people go out of their way to learn the English language anyway so it wouldnt hurt anybody to establish it.

Other countries teach English as a second language while we teach Spanish or French for our other languages. We need to have other languages in our country and the people should be able to speak whatever they want. That is helping our country be free. If we start making people learn English, (like Anna said) it will stop the growing of our country because people will not want to come here if they are being enforced to speak a different way than they have been taught.

I believe that bilingualism should continue in the US because we have so many different people with different cultures living here. So, the US should continue to not have a primary language established, but I do English should remain the language of business and government because English is so commonly known and spoken.

I think english should become our offical language because most people speak it. The people that dont speak it can learn english because that is what our country should be. We learn spanish and french and other things so that we can speak to people if we go somewhere. Other people should learn englsih so that when they come to the United States we can speak with them. i understand that the united states is trying to seem more welcoming by not having an offical language but i really highly doubt that is what people judge a country by. atleast id hope not.

I think that bilingualism should continue in the United States just because we are known for not having an official language. And if we force people to learn English, most probably won't do it because they'll feel like they'll have to get rid of their culture. But they should be recommended to learn English.

Our national language should be English because we use English as the language of government. Yes the use of English should be encouraged because that is the language of the majority of the people that live here.

I think the U.S. should encourage the use of English but not to the extent that some states have went to by making it the official language. People that came here in colonial times learned English not because they were forced to, but because it just made life easier. This is what we have to make foreign language speakers see.

I think we should keep all the languages in our country rather than make everyone speak just English and make it our main language because we are the melting pot of many things and language is a big part of that. Many different languages is a good to have in the US so I say keep it as it is. No main official language.

I believe that English should be the main language for the U.S. Most foreign counties already teach their students English as a second language. As the world becomes globalized, we need a more "standardized" language that everyone can go to.

I think we should make English the official language of the US. Most people already assume that it's our official language because the vast majority of us speak it. There are no other languages in the US that are commonly used to compete with, so there's no harm in making it official. I don't think other countries will see this as unwelcoming and it most likely wouldn't make a difference to people wanting to move here.

What I thought was interesting about this article was that CO2 is one of the most important things we need in this world. It provides warmth for the earth and what I didn’t realize is that CO2 is a fertilizer. A plants photosynthesis to produce sugar and to grow, they need CO2 from the air. When they take the CO2 from the air they give off oxygen which makes us breathe. What I thought was also interesting was that fact that in total, humans produce thirty-two gigatons of CO2 every year. I also didn’t know that CO2 affected our oceans. I thought this article was interesting, and I actually learned quite a bit about what CO2 does for the earth.

In this article i learned that sense the beginning of the Industrial Revolution the amout of carbon dioxide has increased 40 precent. The air that we breath is 4.5 percent of CO2. The plants that exhale it do it at night. Land fills are a big contributors to CO2 along with gasoline. Its the rotten organic materials that relase so much. In the second article i learned that my mid century 60 percent of all countries will have a fertility rate of two childern per woman. 86 At that time there will be 13 countires with a two-three fertility rate.

in the Globalist article it talked about how the fertility rate of women is decreasing and that it is projected to even off.
the CO2 article talked about how humans produce only a little amount of carbon dioxide, yet it has a large impact on global warming. as our technology grows and the way we do things starts to change the amounts of carbon dioxide are increasing and it is becoming harder to absorb all of the carbon dioxide.

In this article I learned that there is so many other ways that carbon dioxide is produced. They said in the article that the earth has a build up of CO2, which I believe to be wrong. If a person lays down on the ground he or she would be able to breath; so therefore there would not be a build up of CO2. So I would have to disagree with that statement that the earth has a build up of CO2. Another thing I found fascinating is when it is hot outside plants close their pores. As a result they do not take in very much CO2, which allow CO2 to build up. So that is a reason I see people believing in global warming. We absorb 32 gigatons per year and only half of it goes to plants and the ocean the rest goes to the atmosphere.

In this article I learned that CO2 levels have been rising throughout all of Earth's history. Carbon Dioxide is only accountable for 20% of the greenhouse effect. These levels are rising for countless reasons; landfills, less plants, and more people are just a couple. I think people are blaming CO2 for too much of global warming. In the second article, it talks about Global Fertility Rates. The average world fertility rate has now reached 2.5 children per woman and the rate has grown rapidly in the past 60 years. Some countries are now not able to replace the population as the years go on. More countries are moving along in the demographic transition model.

I did not realize what a big effect CO2 had on us. An interesting part of the article to me was that we make up 4.5% of the CO2. I did not know that CO2 was a fertilizer. In the second article I found out that 60 Countries have fertility rates below two children per woman. In the 1800 Fertility rates stood at 8 children per woman, That's a lot of kid.

I never knew carbon dioxide was actually helpful to the environment. It changes the climate, helps plants survive, and can be used as a fertilizer. Carbon dioxide is not all bad we need it to produce oxygen through photosynthesis so we really need to stop using things that harm the environment and we really need to stop deforestation the plants cut the carbon dioxide produced per year in half. Since the Industrial Revolution carbon dioxide has gone up by forty percent because of the loss of plants. Though carbon dioxide may be harmful to breathe in it does not cause global warming it is untrue and we are just going through a very hot period global warming is a stupid myth.

The globalist talked about how in 1950 no country had a tfr less than 2 children per woman, and now the tfr is 2.5, the lowest it has ever been. It goes on to say that this trend will continue throughout the mid-century where countries in sub-saharan Africa will have the highest tfr. The CO2 article goes on to say that carbon dioxide is the second moat important gas

But the number 1 contributor to man made climate change, and that now the CO2 in the atmosphere has increased 40% but seeing how the world population has grown more than there should be no surprise about that number. Now plants are not helping that because in hot and dry climates, plants may start to consume oxygen and respirate CO2. The CO2 levels have increased but studies have shown that climate change,

In this article I learned that CO2 has a big effect on our plant. I learned that it comes from us as humans, plants, and industrialization. With all the CO2 in the air not a lot of it is being taken out. Only so much is taken each day and so much is left in the air. CO2 causes weather changes in on our planet. CO2 is 60 percent the cause of global warming. CO2 is what keeps our world warm and is the world’s most important fertilizer. The average amount of CO2 increased by 40 percent, it went from 280 to 380 ppmv.

In the Globalist article, I found it interesting that CO2 is one of the most important necessities to live in this world. I think that it is strange that after the Revolution CO2 levels increased by 40%, and that we humans only create a small amount of that. As we exhale the CO2 the plants take it in, it also give us warmth, and the plants use it as sugar. So when people say that it is a bad thing, they are actually some what wrong. I also found it interesting that CO2 is only 20% of the reason that the Greenhouse effect is taking place, when I used to place most of the blame on the over amount of CO2 we produced.
