this article talks about that the more we grow, the more disorder we cause. the more complex we make things the harder it becomes and the it requires a complete different mental and scientific approach than what we are use to. if we cannot get things to operate smoothly in Europe, then it will be extremely hard to do so in the rest of the world.

When Andrea Illy (the author of the article) thinks of the European Union as ‘global governance’, I feel like I have to disagree. She thinks that a continent that has multiple countries is considered global, while I believe that for something to be more-or-less global, it needs to have fewer boundaries.
Then I am reminded of Russia: A huge expanse of land under one name. It had one government that seemed to work for a while, although eventually beaten out by the US.
On that note, I would like to say that global governance would work only if its region had enough resources to feed, clothe, and shelter everyone. It would also help to attempt to steer clear of conflict with other nations, since that would hurt the ‘country’ in a few different ways.

With our population problem (the population starting to reach 10 billion) all countries are trying to find a way to dim this problem. I think this can be one way that global governance has started and will continue to happen. Countries all work together to help one another. Wars with treaties and allying countries are another form of which countries work together as one to solve a problem. If all the countries would start a global worldwide government there will be problems but there also will be upsides to becoming one. Problems such as a main language for countries could be a bad problem or other government money issues. But I’m sure they could figure something out.

In the Global Governance article Andrea Illy states that even though she isn’t a mathematician she thinks that the more we grow the more disorder we create. She thinks that we cause complexity in out lives. She thinks that if we become more globalized that out lives and other things would become easier. She believes that if we make things work with Europe then we will be able to make it work with all the countries. I disagree because of the personal bias’s of all the countries. I don’t think that we create all of he complexity around us, I believe that it is environmental and caused by what is around us.

since this article is about how the more the population grows around the world and hw it makes things harder on everyone due to more complex ideas, i can agree with chase and Nathan because if we go on like we are without smoothing out, or clearing out all the rough spots of issues, then we will have bad economy and not be a good nation. and along with Nathan, if we unite with other countries, it wouldnt be such hard work for us because we could share responsibilieties with another nation(s).

In this article Andrea Illy is saying the more we grow the more there will be disorder. The harder it gets is because how complex we are getting. She said that if we become more globalized our lives would become easier. I don't fully agree with that statement; for instance, if we buy some brand new technology that technology tends to not work right when it first comes out. So that would only bring about stress in a person's life. I don't get why they can't get governance to work in Europe, but they are trying to get to work in the rest of the world. First they need to establish a main place, and once they have succeeded then go to the rest of the world. We first need to know the complexity around us; then we need to figure out how to make it less complex. Then we have a shot in establishing governance worldwide.

Andrea Illy believes that the more we grow, the more disorder we make. We are constatly making more complexity. She also believes that the system that Europe is using isn't working but no one can really prove that it isn't and she says if it can't work in Europe then it won't work for the rest of the world. She says the the world needs to become more globalized. She feels that politicians have to organize ideas in a top down manner in order to make any progress.

From this article, obviously the more we grow as a world population, the more disorder we make. We are constantly trying to make everything more complex without slowing down to make sure things are done right. I agree with Dylan in his statement saying that constantly making/buying new technology and having to deal with it not working adds more stress to a country and its people. I also agree with Nate in that if more countries unite and depend/help out each other than it is easier to share the responsibilities.
I also do not understand why governance will not work in Europe. Andrea Illy says that if it will not work in Europe that it will not work for the rest of the world and I think that if it is really that important than it should be tested in other countries before being completely ruled out.

In this article i learned that the more we grow the more disorder we make. The entire world if not most has a big intrest in the success of European Union because its the most adcanced example of global governace that we have. Global governace is about the sharing of resources, responsibilies and authority that isnt organized by linear lines. I think Europe will be able to show this and be successful and every if Europe cant other countries could prove it. Andrea shouldnt just rule out every country because "the most advanced" country cant. Espeically when we wont know if they will be succesful yet or not. I beleive Troy has a very good point when he says a county will only be able to have this if they have enough food, resouces, and clothing for everyone. I guess the government and the land you have to work with would play a major rule.

This article discusses that issue as the global population grows, the more disorder and complexity we create. The idea of Global Governance seems far too difficult and complex. The European Union is a very successful group of countries, and if they cannot manage themselves differently, then it will be very hard to get other countries to do the same. It's also not clear why global governance isn't working in Europe. With globalization, countries are already connected and working well together. I don't think we're ready to take such a huge step forward by trying to attempt global governance.

I also agree with Nathan. Finding a way to communicate and deciding on a currency would probably start more conflicts. This would take us a step back and cause more issues. I think that trying to obtain global governance isn't worth all the trouble. Most countries already trade and get along well and attempting this could make things worse. I think things are better they way they are.

Obviously the more our population grows the more complex we get. Andrea Illy treats us as if some countries and continents are looked over. I strongly disagree with her. I also don't think they should attempt global governance. We are already working together fine.

From the article we learned that the more people we get, the more variables we create the more complex things get. The author says that the EU is the closest we have gotton to global governance. She says herself that it hasn't' had much success but at the same time it hasn't failed. If countries as close working together as in Europe can't make it work then how can the rest of the world? That being said, global governance cannot work at this time.
