how would you explain what the definition of distance (absolute, relative) and direction (absolute, relative) and are they related to eachother? and also the definition of size.

I wouldn't worry about their relation to each other, but I would know absolute and relative location. it doesn't matter what word you put after absolute or relative, absolute is exact and relative is in relation. Good luck and good questions

do you know of an easy way to remember all of the different types of diffusions? I am having trouble remembering the differences of them. also, do we need to know all of the names of the founders of geography that were in our notes?

1st remember that there are 2 types of diffusion--Expansion and Relocation, then remember that there are 3 types of Expansion diffusion 1)contagious--catches on everywhere 2) hierrarchical--starts with one group and goes to next level 3)stimulus--not exactly the same idea but the concept,ie.. mcdonalds in India. Also, the major geographers are on the test, not all of them but I would know Ptolemy, von thuben, and kant to name a few. Good Luck

Hi allysa, sequent occupance is the concept that one culture lives in a place and then another culture comes in and lives in that same place. this process keeps happening so what you get is the culture before leaving behind its identity and the next culture putting there identity on top of it, and so on. Spatial just means applying whatever your geographic question or topic and applying it spatially to different levels, local, state, national and globally, remember the TS Elliott quote about the more we know each other the more we will know ourselves
